Independent Living Supports and Independent Supports provide you with support in everyday personal activities to assist you to live as independently as possible at home and in the community.
We have a large and dedicated team of experienced support workers of all ages and backgrounds.
We carefully listen to you so that we can get to know you better and match you with the most appropriate support workers available.

With Independent Living supports, Tim is able to fully access the community, enjoying social connections through a range of activities, including holidays away from home.
What kind of support can I access?
Your funding can provide for a support worker to assist you at the level you need and at the pace you want.
Someone to assist with food preparation and meals, or the costs associated with meal delivery
Help with getting ready for your day (showering, dressing etc.)
Assistance getting to appointments.
Support to help you get out and about in the community including driving you to places or accompanying you on public transport
Support to help you participate in community life or otherwise enjoy social opportunities with family & friends or to make new friends.
Support with diet, health and fitness and general wellbeing
Support with household chores or tasks such as shopping, budgeting, banking, medications or therapies.
Support to investigate or pursue hobbies and interests.

Independent Living Supports and Residential Coordinator Sunbury
Deborah joined Distinctive Options ILS in November 2021 as the Relationships and Communication Officer, before moving in to the ILS Coordinator role.
Taryn Schneider
Independent Living Supports and Residential Assistant Coordinator Sunbury
Taryn joined Distinctive Options in 2021 as a highly valued Support Worker before progressing into the role of Kyneton Team Leader. She now works as the ILS & Residential Assistant Coordinator, providing direct support to the ILS Coordinator.
Taryn has a background in mental health and completed a Certificate IV in Mental Health in 2022. She is passionate about supporting participants living with disability and those impacted by mental health challenges, and is committed to ensuring they receive high-quality, person-centred supports
