Our innovative Community Connect houses provide individuals with real-life skills and opportunities to meet their goals. There is a focus on accessing the community and networking with other services, as well as developing daily living skills. The programs are run out of real houses in the local community that are used as a base, giving individuals a unique opportunity to truly develop their independent living skills. Community Connect may provide supports outside traditional hours based on individual needs and goals. Emergency respite may also be available from these sites.
Community Connect houses are currently established in Bendigo, Golden Square, Kyneton, St Albans and Sunbury. Further houses may be arranged wherever there is sufficient need.
The categories we offer are:
- Group social and recreational activities in a centre based program
- Community, social and recreational activities in a group at a 1:3 ratio – Extended hours
- Community, social and recreational activities in a group 1:2 ratio – Extended hours
