Volunteering

Volunteering can be a great way to learn new skills and to make new friendships. It can also lead to opening new ways of thinking and new ways to learn problem solving and people management skills. Volunteering also offers opportunities to experience possible new career options.

Our organisation offers individuals with a disability group-based supports from its two facilities located in Sunbury. We also provide individualised supports in the form of 1:1 support working with individuals in their own home or within their community.

The supports we offer include travel training, in-home respite, work experience, volunteer placement and social, emotional and personal support. All supports provided by Distinctive Options are planned and directed in cooperation with service users with a focus on delivering specific and measurable outcomes.

We are looking for people from a variety of backgrounds and skills sets who enjoy working with people and would like to give back to the community.

Volunteers will be provided with orientation and ongoing training and support by enthusiastic members of our team.
